Our Owner and Founder

Trish Colby is the CEO and founder of Colby and Company and now, Ashland Consulting Group. Trish has a Masters Degree in government administration from the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelors Degree in English from the University of Cincinnati. 

 

Trish was previously Director of Legistative Affairs for the Ohio Govenor's Office of Criminal Justice Services. Duties included assisting the former agency director (now Ohio Govenor), Mike DeWine, with legislation and media relations. 

 

 Her experience as a lobbyist for one of New Jersey's largest electric utilities, gives her a unique insight into business and regulatory issues. 

​

As Director of Special Events for the New Jersey General Assembly, she managed numerous special events, including the Statue of Liberty's 100th Anniversary for the state of New Jersey and the Council of State Governments National Convention, among others. 

​

She oversees Colby & Company's political division which provides campaign consulting. Her clients have included the Kentucky Republican Senate Caucus, the Republican House Caucus, and the Republican Party of Kentucky, as well as various other campaigns. 

​

In 1990, Trish managed her fathers, Kentucky Representative Don Farley, stunning upset against two-term Represenative Clarence Jackson. 

​

Her biggest and proudest accomplishment is being a Mom.
